Mark is a former litigation partner of Linklaters and former senior partner of boutique litigation firm Humphries Kerstetter LLP. He was educated at King Edward’s School, Bath and St Catharine’s College, Cambridge.
He has practised law for nearly 40 years, specialising in commercial litigation and advocacy in a range of fields including financial services, professional negligence, competition law, insurance and contractual disputes under English and other laws. He has appeared in a wide variety of courts and tribunals including the English Commercial Court and Court of Appeal and domestic and international arbitration tribunals.
He has external positions including the Lloyd’s Members’ Ombudsman, board member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and council member of The Law Society. He writes on a variety of legal topics, notably on litigation procedure and legal ethics.
